As a student who started college under a year ago, the past few months have been filled with immense change. With that change has come loads of stress, resulting in faltering relationships between myself, my physical well-being, and my mental health. This course by Nourishment Vitality has allowed me to regain perspective and reevaluate my relationships, starting with the relationship I have with myself. I recently completed the Optimize Life course, and I enjoyed the accepting and relaxed setting that Sheryl creates in this online course. In the videos, Sheryl talks about how stress has become such an accepted part of our society in many ways even though lasting anxiety is harmful to our health. The videos discuss the power we all have to create habits to reduce this stress including calm breathing, writing down goals, and noticing patterns between feeling stressed and what triggers that stress. I like how the course highlights practices that I can take with me throughout my life.

This Masterclass helped change my perspective on developing a healthy relationship with my body and food. I was taught so much about the importance of approaching one’s situation through a lens of kindness and compassion. Many times as a college student, I have felt the need to receive external validation from social media, my peers, etc. However, this course helped to teach me the importance of trusting what is best for you in order to develop self-forgiveness and self-love for our behaviors. This Mastercourse is a great place to start for anyone who has the slightest curiosity about creating a path towards healthier eating habits, developing body positivity, and self-love and acceptance.

As a young adult in college, body image and my relationship with food are issues that I deal with a lot. In college, it can be very difficult to find healthy and nutritious food causing me to gain weight and feel bad about the way my body looks. Taking the master class on the Nourishment Vitality website I learned so much about how to handle and heal my relationship with food and feel more positive about my body image. The course was very easy and efficient to access. The course is broken down into different videos and can be accessed at any time making it very easy to utilize anywhere at any time. Through this course, I gained sustainable strategies to deal with my relationship with food no matter where I am in the world. Additionally, I learned a lot about self-forgiveness, compassion, and kindness. I am grateful that I took this masterclass and can take these strategies and life lessons with me into my daily routine.

Sheryl is a mentor who both practices and teaches mindfulness.  She practices mindfulness in a way that allows you to feel both her attention and presence throughout your session.  She carefully teaches you to tune in to your current experience, and helps you formulate future goals. Sheryl helps you to understand your own mind,  through meditation.   She teaches you how to transform your mind’s negative thoughts to positive ones.  She explains how overcoming negative thoughts is transformative.  Sheryl is able to offer you a spiritual practice which reduces stress, tiredness, unhappiness and frustration.   I believe this translates into huge health benefits.

As a natural born pessimist ,I was hesitant to give Sheryl’s mindfulness and meditation session a go. After now several meetings I can honestly say Sheryl has mastered the art of infusing positivity, calm, and awareness in a safe ,spiritual space. Sheryl has projected a alternate way of thinking and seeing oneself in a positive regenerative light I cannot recommend her enough and look forward to a long bright future ahead with Sheryl’s guidance and insight.

Sheryl also looks very professional in her videos, she dresses the part and also emanates confidence through her videos, which creates a warm sense of trust.  I also enjoy that when she is conversing with you, that there are key focus subtitles, Each video also focuses on a new topic which is advantageous, as well as Sheryl talking you through the PDF that relates to the video.  That fact that she also treats you like an individual and reassures you that you are ok, and it is ok to have a problem, and that she is there to work through it with you.
