I recently completed the Optimize Life course, and I enjoyed the accepting and relaxed setting that Sheryl creates in this online course. In the videos, Sheryl talks about how stress has become such an accepted part of our society in many ways even though lasting anxiety is harmful to our health. The videos discuss the power we all have to create habits to reduce this stress including calm breathing, writing down goals, and noticing patterns between feeling stressed and what triggers that stress. I like how the course highlights practices that I can take with me throughout my life.

Truly overcoming eating issues can be done in two ways - the long way, or the long way 😉 We've all looked to the next diet, the next "guru" or program for salvation. I was taught so much about the importance of approaching one’s situation through a lens of kindness and compassion. Many times as a college student, I have felt the need to receive external validation from social media, my peers, etc. However, this course helped to teach me the importance of trusting what is best for you in order to develop self-forgiveness and self-love for our behaviors. As a young adult in college, body image and my relationship with food are issues that I deal with a lot. In college, it can be very difficult to find healthy and nutritious food causing me to gain weight and feel bad about the way my body looks. Taking the master class on the Nourishment Vitality website I learned so much about how to handle and heal my relationship with food and feel more positive about my body image. The course was very easy and efficient to access. The course is broken down into different videos and can be accessed at any time making it very easy to utilize anywhere at any time.
