Almost 2500 years ago, Hippocrates said -“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”. Considered as one of the most influential figures in the history of medicine and healing, he advised people to prevent and treat diseases first and foremost by eating a nutrient-dense diet.
Food gives our bodies the “information” and materials needed to function properly. When our bodies don’t get the right information, our metabolic processes suffer, and our overall health declines.
As a Mind-Body Wellness practitioner, I encourage healthy food choices to emphasize how food can be our medicine. We need to “fuel well, to feel well”.
